Hi, My name is
DORA
Welcome to my world.
There is so much I want to say but I’ll keep this introduction simple.
I go to therapy weekly and meet with my psychiatrist every couple of months. I’m consistent in my treatment for depressive disorder, panic disorder, mild agoraphobia, general anxiety, treatment for ADHD, and mood disorder with treatment towards Bipolar II. A recent assessment provided a diagnosis of Autism & Complex PTSD that I hope to pursue a second opinion for.
I’ve made a lot of poor choices in my past and I’m unsure if that was the peak of my mental disorders or the cause of it. I’m still learning to live with “it is okay not to know” but maybe we will find out together someday.
I’ve navigated the challenging terrain of mental health issues, and through resilience, support, and self-discovery, I’ve come a long way in my journey towards healing and recovery.
I believe in the power of sharing our stories to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and to let others know they are not alone.
My experiences have taught me the importance of self-care, seeking help, and fostering understanding and empathy toward those who face similar struggles. This was my motivation behind creating this app called “Atypically Me“.
“Atypically me” is a community specifically designed to unlock possibilities for individuals with unique abilities, I am on a mission to help people discover places that not only embrace diversity but radiate warmth and inclusivity.
